Saponification is the process of acids and bases reacting together to form salts: Fats & Oils (acids) combined with a Base (Lye/Sodium Hydroxide) chemically react to form soap and glycerin. We add no detergents or preservatives.
What all natural means to us is pretty simple: as fresh and as close to nature as we can get. Of course chemicals are everywhere, and are used in millions of everyday items.
We've decided to take the basic approach with our products, and skip the synthetics whenever we can.
Although the lye itself is a synthetic compound, no other synthetic materials are used in Honest Herbs™ skin care products.
This means everything is made in small batches, and is meant to be used while fresh.
*Veggie oils: Canola, Hemp, Olive, Rice Bran, Coconut, Palm, Castor, Palm Kernel, Avocado, Cocoa Butter, Grapeseed, Soybean, and Hazelnut.
*Milks: Coconut milk, Goat's milk, Cow's milk, Soy milk, and Rice milk.
Our handmade soaps are created in small batches using fresh oils*, milk* or purified water, and high grade caustic alkali (lye). This lye does not remain in the final bars, but is chemically changed into soap. Although the lye itself is a synthetic compound, no other synthetic materials are used. We use essential oils to scent all of our soap.

Cocoa Butter Bath Bar
Unscented, luxuriously rich and creamy unprocessed fair trade Cocoa Butter.
Saponified oils of Rice Bran, Olive, Cocoa Butter, Coconut, Palm, and Castor; Purified water.
Honey Bar
Mild and lightly exfoliating, with Almond meal, Oats, Honey, and Shea Butter. Sweet, woodsy scent.
Saponified oils of Olive, Coconut, Palm, Palm Kernel, Rice Bran, Grapeseed, Hazelnut, Shea Butter, and Castor; Purified water; Essential oils.
Basil Kitchen Soap
A great hand scrubber, loaded with oats, poppy seeds, Anise powder, and Basil infused oils.
Saponified oils of Canola, Palm, Coconut, Palm Kernel, Olive, and Castor; Soymilk.
Lavender Clay
Smooth and bubbly, with purifying clay and Lavender essential oil.

Orange Spice – with Cocoa Butter (now labeled as Faded Orange lol)
Extremely rich lather, slightly scrubby, and scented with Orange, Clove and Pink Pepper essential oils.

Rosemary Mint
Creamy Cocoa butter Bath Bar lightly scented with Rosemary and Peppermint essential oils.

Rosemary Orange
Very mild and gentle, lightly scented with Rosemary and Orange essential oils.
